Film

Film for workshops and service bays—protective rolls designed to keep steering wheels, seats, and trim clean during repair and service work. Supplied in continuous rolls, these films peel off cleanly after the job without leaving adhesive residue. Sealey options include plain film on a roll or film with an integrated applicator handle for faster one-handed application in busy environments.

Workshop protection film is single-use barrier material, typically polyethylene or polypropylene, designed to keep vehicle interiors clean during jobs that involve oil, grease, or dirt transfer from hands and tools. Steering wheel film is the most common application—wrapped around the rim before the technician gets in, then torn off and binned when the job's done. The film clings without adhesive, so it won't leave residue on leather, alcantara, or plastic.

Plain rolls work fine if you're wrapping at a bench or have both hands free. Film with an applicator handle is faster when you're working alone or moving between vehicles—pull, wrap, tear, next car. The handle doubles as a dispenser, so you're not wrestling a loose roll while leaning into a cabin. Both types come in 150-metre rolls, enough for several weeks in a typical independent workshop or dealership service bay.

Check the film width matches your usual steering wheel diameter—most are sized for passenger cars and light commercials. Thicker films resist tearing under heavy use but can be harder to conform around spokes and stitching. Store rolls out of direct sunlight; UV exposure makes polyethylene brittle and the film will split when you try to stretch it.
