Tool Chests

Tool chests and rollcabs for workshop storage. Premier units range from compact 660mm topchests to wide 1845mm rollcabs, in black or stainless steel finish. Drawer counts run from 4-drawer topchests up to 15-drawer rollcabs. Pick width and drawer layout based on your bench space and the kit you're storing — socket sets, spanners, and power tools all need different depths and dividers.

Topchests sit on the bench or stack onto a rollcab. They work for small workshops or mobile service vans where floor space is tight. Rollcabs go under the bench and move on castors — useful if you shift between jobs or need tools near the vehicle bay. The extra-wide units (1055mm and up) split longer tools across shallow drawers rather than burying them in a deep stack.

Stainless steel resists scratches and wipes clean in messy environments — bodyshops, marine fittings, anywhere you're dealing with cutting fluid or salt. Black powder coat is lighter on the wallet and fine for dry workshops. Check the drawer runners — ball-bearing tracks hold up better under daily load than friction slides, especially in the bottom drawers where you'll store the heavy gear. Most units have a locking bar across all drawers; handy if the chest lives in a shared yard.

Match drawer depth to what you're storing. Shallow drawers (50–75mm internal) suit sockets, bits, and measuring tools. Mid-depth (100–150mm) takes ratchets, hammers, and cordless drills. Deep drawers (200mm+) swallow grinders and impact wrenches, but you'll lose small items in there without trays or foam inserts. Count your current tools and add headroom — you'll fill it faster than you think.
