Impact Socket Sets

Impact socket sets for pneumatic and cordless impact wrenches. Premier sets come in metric, imperial, or combined, covering 3/8" through to 1" square drives. Standard and deep variants — deep sockets reach recessed fasteners and threaded rod, standard sockets fit tighter spaces and weigh less on the tool.

Match the drive size to your wrench and the work. 3/8" sets handle smaller fasteners — wheel bolts, light fabrication, chassis work. 1/2" is the workhorse for most truck, plant, and machinery jobs. 3/4" and 1" drives suit heavy plant, tractor axles, and anywhere torque or fastener size demands it.

Metric-only or imperial-only sets cover one measurement system; combined sets carry both in one case. Deep sockets add length to clear threaded bar and reach into recessed housings — useful on suspension links, driveshafts, or anywhere the fastener sits proud of the surface. Standard sockets are shorter, so they fit where depth is limited and put less sideways load on the anvil.

Impact sockets use a through-hardened chrome-moly steel that flexes rather than shatters under the hammering action of an impact wrench. Do not use chrome-vanadium hand sockets on impact tools — they crack. Black oxide or phosphate finish identifies impact-rated sockets; the walls are typically thicker than hand-tool equivalents, which matters when clearance is tight. Check the size range in each set against the fasteners you work on most — a 32-piece set spanning two drives covers more ground than separate smaller kits, but only if you actually use both drive sizes regularly.
