Mobile Workbenches
Mobile workbenches put your tools and parts where the work is. Roll a complete station to the engine bay, fabrication area, or job site instead of running back and forth. Sealey and Premier models here range from compact 6-drawer trolleys through to 16-drawer workstations with lockable storage, ball-bearing slides, and worktops that double as assembly surfaces. Pick drawer count and layout to match what you carry — fasteners and hand tools in shallow trays, power tools or spray gear in deep drawers.

Drawer slides matter more than you'd think. Ball-bearing runners on full extension let you reach the back of a loaded drawer without wrestling it; cheaper centre-mount slides bind under load. Check rated capacity per drawer if you store heavy gear — impact guns, grinders, or metal stock add up fast. Lockable cupboards suit expensive kit or controlled substances; open shelves speed access to frequently-grabbed items.
Castor size and brake type dictate how the bench handles. Larger wheels (100 mm and up) roll over cables and workshop debris without snagging; foot-operated brakes on all four corners hold the station steady when you're leaning into a fastener. Some models include a removable top tray for small parts during a strip-down, so bolts and clips don't migrate across the bench. Adjustable-height frames let you match worktop to task — lower for heavy assembly where you need leverage, higher for detail work.
Engine-specific benches often add part bins, magnetic trays, or tool hangers on the uprights. If you're building your own layout, consider what you move between jobs: a 10-drawer unit that stays in the workshop versus a lighter 6-drawer trolley that fits in the van. Both Sealey and Premier ranges include options for each. Powder-coat finish resists solvent spills and abrasion better than paint; check corner reinforcement if the bench will take knocks in a mobile service environment.
