Detergents

Detergents for workshop cleaning, vehicle washing, and site maintenance. This range includes TFR (traffic film remover) concentrates, car shampoos, wheel cleaners, and patio cleaners. TFR is the workhorse — cuts through road grime, diesel film, and general dirt on vehicles, plant, and hard surfaces. Concentrates dilute to match the job, from light foam-wash ratios to strong bucket mixes for heavy contamination.

Pick your detergent by the surface and soil type. TFR concentrate works on vehicle paintwork, HGV sides, machinery housings, and forecourt paving — dilute 1:10 to 1:100 depending on grime level and application method. Wax-added formulas leave a water-beading layer; useful for regular vehicle washes, less so if you're degreasing before paint or welding. Car shampoo is pre-diluted or lightly concentrated, designed for hand washing without stripping existing wax. Wheel cleaner is acidic or alkaline depending on formula — check the label before use on alloys or painted calipers, and rinse thoroughly. Patio cleaner tackles algae, moss, and organic staining on concrete, stone, and block paving; results improve if you let it dwell before scrubbing or pressure washing.

Buy concentrate in 25-litre drums if you're washing fleets, plant, or large paved areas regularly. The 5-litre bottles suit occasional use or trial. Accurate dilution matters — too weak wastes time, too strong wastes product and can dull finishes or etch soft metals. Use a dosing pump or measuring jug, not guesswork. Store concentrates in a cool place, out of direct sun, and keep lids tight — some formulas thicken or separate if left open.
