Nut Drivers

Nut drivers turn hex-head fasteners faster than a spanner and with better access than a socket. This range covers straight-handle, T-handle, and impact-rated drivers from Premier, plus insulated VDE sets for live-panel work and flexible shaft drivers for tight hose clips.

T-handle drivers give two-handed torque on larger hex nuts — the 300 mm shaft length clears most engine bays and pump housings. Straight-handle drivers suit tighter spots where you need one hand free. Impact-rated drivers have thicker walls and hardened sockets to survive repeated hammer blows or impact-driver use; standard drivers will crack under that load.

Flexible-shaft drivers reach around manifolds or behind panels where a rigid tool won't fit. The 7 mm size covers most automotive hose clips; the 4-piece set spans common radiator and coolant fittings. VDE-approved insulated drivers are rated to 1000 V AC for control-panel and switchgear work — check the approval mark on the handle before use on live circuits.

Match the driver size to the hex: 8 mm and 10 mm cover M5 and M6 nuts, 13 mm suits M8, 17 mm and 19 mm handle M10 and M12. Magnetic tips hold the fastener on the end, which matters when working overhead or in awkward angles. Sets group the common sizes; buy individual drivers to replace worn sockets or add an odd size.
