Metal Benders
Metal benders cover bench and floor-mounted models for bar, flat stock, and tube, plus dedicated conduit benders and combination sheet machines. Sealey's range includes fixed-position benders with changeable formers and multi-function machines that fold, shear, and roll light-gauge sheet in one frame. Pick based on material thickness, bend radius, and whether you need portability or permanent mounting.

Bench-mounted benders bolt to a workbench or stand and suit occasional forming work where floor space is tight. Floor-mounted versions give you more leverage and stability for heavier bar or thicker flat stock — the increased throat depth and longer handle make repetitive bending less fatiguing. Both types use interchangeable formers to set the bend radius; check the throat opening and former diameter match your typical stock size before buying.
Conduit benders are built specifically for electrical conduit — the former profile prevents kinking and the frame geometry lets you make accurate 90° bends without a protractor. If you work with 20 mm or 25 mm conduit regularly, a dedicated bender is faster and more consistent than a general-purpose model. Replacement formers are available separately for worn or damaged shoes.
Three-in-one sheet metal machines combine a guillotine shear, a finger brake, and slip rolls in a single casting. The 305 mm version handles up to 1 mm mild steel and suits small fabrication or flashing work; the 760 mm frame takes wider sheet and gives you room for longer bends. Blade condition matters — dull shears leave a ragged edge and need more force, so factor in replacement costs if you're cutting abrasive materials like galvanised or stainless. Most machines include adjustable back-stops for repeat cuts and bolt-down holes for permanent installation.
