Fittings, adaptors, and valves for connecting air tools, hoses, and compressor outlets. Mostly BSP and BSPT threads in quarter-, three-eighths-, and half-inch sizes. If you're switching between tools with different inlet threads or running multiple lines off one compressor, this is where you'll find the couplers and unions to make it work.

BSP (British Standard Pipe) is the parallel thread you'll see on most European air fittings; BSPT is the tapered version. They look similar but don't seal the same way — parallel threads need a bonded washer or O-ring, tapered threads seal metal-to-metal with PTFE tape. Check what's on your tool and compressor outlet before you order. A 1/4" BSPT male won't seat properly in a 1/4" BSP female without an adaptor.

Lever ball valves let you isolate a line without disconnecting anything — useful if you're running two tools off one manifold and only want to pressurise one at a time. Z-swivel connectors reduce hose twist at the tool end, which matters more than you'd think when you're working overhead or in tight spots. The ones with built-in regulators let you dial down pressure at the tool rather than walking back to the compressor every time you switch from impact work to finish nailing.

If you're coupling two hoses or extending a run, make sure the bore diameter matches — a 1/4" fitting on 3/8" hose chokes flow. For permanent installations, use thread sealant or tape on tapered threads; for temporary connections, a dry parallel thread with a good washer is usually enough. Don't overtighten brass fittings into aluminium housings — the threads strip easily.
