Safety Kits

The FFP1 version filters 80 % of airborne particles and suits light-dust work—sweeping up workshop dust, cutting MDF with good extraction, jobs where you're not breathing fine powder all day. FFP2 filters 94 % and handles higher concentrations: grinding metal, sanding filler, cutting stone or concrete without wet suppression. Both are disposable half-masks with an exhalation valve to reduce heat buildup.

Flexi Grip gloves use a nylon shell with nitrile-foam coating on the palm and fingers. The coating stays flexible in cold weather and grips oily or damp surfaces without going stiff. Sizes run 8 to 11; nitrile-coated gloves tend to fit snug, so if you're between sizes, go up one.

Goggles are indirect-vent polycarbonate—good impact resistance, won't fog as fast as sealed models. Ear defenders in the kit typically reduce noise by 25–30 dB, enough for angle grinders, chop saws, air tools. If you're running a breaker or working near compressors all day, add moulded plugs underneath for another 10 dB.

Keep a kit in the van so the whole set's there when you need it. Replace masks when the valve clogs or the straps lose tension, gloves when the coating wears through to the shell, goggles when they scratch enough to distort your view.
