Valeting Machines
Valeting machines handle the dirt, liquids, and debris that come with cleaning vehicles, workshops, and plant equipment. Wet-and-dry models switch between vacuuming dust and sucking up spills or wash water without changing the drum. Common capacities run from 20 to 30 litres; larger tanks mean fewer stops to empty, smaller units are easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces.

Drum material matters if you're dealing with chemicals or hot water: stainless steel resists corrosion and dents better than coated steel, though it adds weight and cost. A 1400 W motor suits most valeting work—enough suction for upholstery grit and pooled water without tripping a standard 13 A socket. Check the accessory kit before you buy: a crevice tool, wet nozzle, and upholstery brush cover the majority of car-interior jobs, but some kits omit one or more.
Cartridge filters handle dry dust; foam sleeves or separate wet cartridges let the machine cope with liquid without clogging. If you switch between wet and dry frequently, confirm the filter swap takes seconds, not a strip-down with clips. Hose diameter and length set your working radius—a narrow hose reaches door pockets and under seats, but a short run forces you to drag the drum closer. Most machines park the hose and tools on the body; loose accessories disappear fast on a busy forecourt.
