Vehicle Support Stands
Vehicle support stands hold trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles at working height once they've been jacked. The stands below run from 2-tonne supplementary models for stabilising a raised axle to 12-tonne high-level stands for heavy commercial work. Sealey's high-level range uses a screw adjustment and locking collar; check the collapsed and extended heights match your typical chassis rails or outrigger points.

Match the stand's capacity to the axle load, not the vehicle's GVW—a twin-axle trailer splits weight across four stands. High-level stands suit commercial chassis; supplementary stands work under outriggers or as secondary support when you're holding one end of a load. Screw-thread adjustment gives finer control than pin-and-hole, but takes longer to wind out. Always work in pairs minimum, placed on the same structural member.
Jacking pads spread load on outrigger feet or soft ground. The 300 mm pad suits stabiliser legs on vans and smaller rigids; 450 mm works under crane outriggers or where ground's suspect. Both are steel plate with a raised centre pip to locate the foot. If you're working on tarmac or concrete in good nick, the stand's base foot is usually enough—use pads when surface gives or when the manufacturer's manual calls for a spreader plate.
Hydraulic rams listed here are spares for specific Sealey stand models. Cross-check the part number before ordering; thread pitch and stroke length vary between series.
