Safety
Spill kits and absorbent materials for managing fluid leaks in workshops, machine shops, and industrial sites. Kits sized by capacity—15L, 30L, 50L—contain absorbent pads, socks, and disposal bags to handle oils, coolants, and cutting fluids. Absorbent socks seal perimeters or wrap leaking equipment; pads soak up pooled fluid. Pick kit size based on typical spill volume and area to cover.

Most kits include a mix of pads for flat spills and socks for containment—check the manifest before buying to match what you actually need. The 80mm socks work well around machine bases or along channels; stack pads under drip points or spread them across larger areas. Absorbency is measured in litres per pad or sock—compare total kit capacity against your largest credible spill, not average drips.
Store kits near high-risk areas—CNC machines, parts washers, fluid transfer points—where response time matters. Most absorbent materials handle petroleum-based fluids; if you work with aggressive solvents or water-based coolants, verify compatibility with the pad material before relying on it. Replace used pads promptly; a saturated pad left in place is a slip hazard, not a spill control.
Disposal matters. Oil-soaked absorbents are usually classified waste—bag them separately and follow local rules. Some sites keep a dedicated bin for spent pads to avoid mixing them with general waste. If you generate enough volume, check whether your waste contractor offers a pickup service for saturated absorbents.
