Power Packs

Power packs give you mains-voltage AC or USB power wherever the job takes you — site vans, remote fittings, mobile workshops, anywhere without a socket nearby. These units run on lithium cells with built-in inverters, so you can charge drills, run inspection lights, or keep a laptop going without a generator. Sealey and Dellonda models here range from compact 140 W banks for phones and small 12 V gear up to 3000 W stations that'll handle grinders, compressors, and other workshop kit for hours between charges.

Match the wattage and capacity to what you're running. A 300 W station covers most cordless-tool chargers, LED work lights, and laptop power bricks; 600–1800 W suits angle grinders, small compressors, and bench tools; 3000 W handles heavier kit like site saws or larger compressors, though runtime drops fast under continuous load. Check the watt-hour rating (Wh) — that's your actual stored energy. A 115 Wh pack will top up a cordless drill battery a few times; a 1000+ Wh station keeps a fridge running overnight or charges multiple battery platforms on a long job.

Most units offer AC sockets, USB-A, USB-C, and a 12 V car outlet. If you're running USB-C Power Delivery laptops or fast-charging phones, check the port supports the wattage you need — not all USB-C ports push the full spec. Pure sine-wave inverters suit sensitive electronics (laptops, test gear); modified sine is fine for resistive loads like lights or heaters, but some chargers won't like it. Expansion batteries plug into certain Dellonda stations to double or triple runtime without upsizing the inverter. Solar-compatible models pair with fold-out panels for off-grid recharging — useful on multi-day jobs or in sheds without mains. Recharge time varies: smaller banks fill in three to four hours from the mains, larger stations can take overnight. Lithium cells lose capacity with age and charge cycles, so if the pack lives in the van year-round, top it up every few months to avoid deep discharge.
