Motorcycle Lifts & Work Tables

Motorcycle lifts and work tables raise bikes to a comfortable working height and hold them steady while you service, repair, or store them. Hydraulic models are quiet and stable; air-hydraulic units lift faster but need a compressor. Capacity matters—a 365 kg table suits most road bikes, but for adventure bikes with panniers, quads, or mini tractors, a 680 kg lift is safer. Check the table width and whether the ramp is included or folds for storage.

Pick capacity by the bike's wet weight plus any luggage or accessories you'll leave on during work. Most road and naked bikes sit comfortably on a 365–450 kg lift. Adventure bikes, tourers with hard cases, quads, and utility vehicles need 680 kg. If you're working on multiple machines or plan to keep the lift long-term, the extra headroom is worth it.

Hydraulic-only lifts use a foot pedal and are silent—good for home garages or shared spaces. Air-hydraulic models lift in seconds but require a compressor with enough flow; they're faster if you're cycling bikes through regularly. Single-post portable lifts save floor space and move easily, but the bike must balance on its own stand or centrestand. Full-platform tables give you a wider, more stable surface for chassis work or wheel removal.

Folding workbenches with ramps are compact and store vertically, but the fold joint can pinch hands if you rush the setup. Fixed ramps are safer. Check the table height at full extension—if you're tall, a short lift still leaves you bent over. Sealey tables include tie-down points; use them, especially on air-hydraulic models where the bike can shift if you knock it while the pump runs.
