Spring balancers suspend tools at a fixed working height, taking the weight so you don't have to hold it. Cable retracts when you let go. Common on assembly lines, service bays, and anywhere a hand tool gets used overhead or at waist level repeatedly. Pick capacity to match the tool's actual weight — too light and it won't hold position, too heavy and it'll yank the tool upward.

Spring balancers work by coil tension against a reel. The tool hangs at neutral — push down and the spring yields, let go and it retracts to the set height. Most units have a height-lock screw; tighten it once you've found the working position. Cable is steel with a swivel hook at the tool end to prevent kinking during rotation.
Capacity ranges overlap deliberately. If your tool sits near the upper limit of one model, step up to the next bracket — springs lose tension over thousands of cycles, and running one at max load shortens service life. Check the tool weight with the hose or cable attached if it's air- or mains-powered. Mount the balancer to a beam, trolley, or overhead rail rated for at least twice the stated load. Sealey's versions use a spring cartridge that can be serviced without replacing the entire unit, though you'll need to source the cartridge from a distributor if wear becomes an issue.
