Fans

Workshop and industrial fans — wall, desk, pedestal, and drum models from Sealey. Choose by airflow volume (diameter and motor power), mounting (fixed, oscillating, or orbital), and where you need the air moved. Desk fans suit small benches or offices, pedestal fans cover larger areas, drum fans push air horizontally across open floors or into confined spaces.

Matching Fan Type to the Job

Desk fans (4" to 16") work for cooling a single workstation or small parts-drying. Wall-mount models save floor space in tight workshops. Pedestal fans (20" to 30") oscillate to cover wider areas — useful in larger bays or for general ventilation. Drum fans (20" to 30") sit low and move high volumes horizontally, good for drying wet floors, pushing fumes toward extraction, or circulating air under racking.

Industrial high-velocity models use metal housings and larger motors. Orbital drum fans tilt to direct airflow up or down — check the tilt range if you need to aim at specific height. Oscillating pedestals sweep side to side, fixed models stay stationary. Three-speed controls let you dial back noise and power draw when full airflow isn't needed. Remote control on wall units avoids climbing to adjust settings mid-shift.

Check the diameter and motor voltage (all listed are 230V standard mains). Larger diameters move more air per revolution but need more floor or wall clearance. Pedestal height is usually adjustable; drum fans are fixed-height and need a clear run along the floor. If the fan runs all day, metal grilles and sealed motors last longer than plastic housings in dusty or damp workshops.
