Only using water
It’s important to know that it’s not the water that does the cleaning, but in fact the cleaning solution that you use. By aimlessly spraying cold water on a dirty surface, you are attempting to break through a layer of dirt and clean it at the same time – you need something to break through this layer of dirt first and loosen it, before rinsing it away. That’s where cleaning solution comes in.
Plus by using a chemical in the washing process means that you don’t have to apply so much pressure to the water stream. This technique is called soft washing and will save you a lot of time and effort, and leave you with a much cleaner home than only water would.
Pressure washing sensitive areas
There are certain parts of your home that may not be able to stand up against your pressure washer. These more sensitive areas include places like door openings, drywall ceilings and non-water tight windows – all for very obvious reasons.

Finally, make sure you’re cleaning your home in the right order! By cleaning it in the wrong order, you’re only going to be increasing your workload. For example, if you clean your windows first and then clean your roof, the dirt from the roof will fall and make your windows dirty again.
